Chipping on site
We try to recommend leaving all wood chippings/mulch on site, this replaces all the nutrients back into soil.
Removing the chippings and leaves strips the local area of much needed nutrients. If we remove the mulch from the site, it is taken to eco composting, where it is recycled into compost.
Logs are normally chopped, stacked and used the following year for firewood.

New Stump grinder
Up until yesterday we passed all our stump removals onto another company, but recently we have lost a couple of jobs because we couldn't remove the stumps ourselves. We can now remove all but the largest stumps, using our husqvarna SG13 stump grinder
We have already removed two stumps, its a great machine, but hard work!

Wood chipper in action
Just a short video of me feeding our Timberwold 125. Its a great little chipper which hasn't missed a beat since we bought it. Where possible we leave the chippings with the customer to use as mulch, its always best to return the nutrients back into the ground. Where the customer has no need for the chippings we remove and recycle them, most of our chippings are taken to eco in Parley, Christchurch.

Our Website
http://www.lennoxservices.co.uk/
This is our secound attempt at a website. The first site I put together myself, while it served its purpose and did get our name out there, my website builing skills weren't up to much.
We asked a fellow car club member (http://www.djcc.co.nr/) to build us a simple site, after a few tweaks and a couple of new pages by myself we have our new site up and running. If anyone has any comments of feedback I'd be greatful to hear it. We also have a facebook page. Just search for lennox services on facebook, thats where I've uploaded most of our pics.

Lennox Services
Lennox Services is a small family tree surgery and grounds maintenance business.
Ian and myself (Paul) started the business in early 2006, Ian had completed his apprenticeship, his NVQs in arboriculture and forestry and was looking to start up on his own. I left my career in electrical engineering (the office life wasn't for me) and booked myself in for my first chainsaw course. Starting from scratch was hard going at first, but we were both doing something we enjoyed.
We now hold all our relevant NPTC certificates, have all the equipment we need and are enjoying the outdoor life.
We cover all areas within Dorset and have travelled as far out as Wales for a larger contract.
